The BRICS + grouping, led by South Africa, offers a unique opportunity to promote a global order not based on size, but on equity and inclusivity. South Africa is leading the way when it comes to forming regional arrangements that bring together regional blocks of the developing world. This platform would serve to bolster trade integration, contribute to global governance, and increase the effectiveness of the BRICS Contingency Reserve Arrangement (CRA). Additionally, the African Union, with its commitment to the developing world and to the broader "beyond its borders" agenda of Africa’s regional development, is ushering in a new era of inclusive global cooperation. The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is one of the most promising initiatives to foster economic growth in the continent and open new horizons for further economic integration.

The underlying principle driving the BRICS + vision is to offer a win-win situation not only to the BRICS countries, but also to other countries of the Global South. The ultimate aim is to challenge the current power structure in global governance, through innovative and inclusive solutions that bring together the Global South, while offering mutually beneficial trade opportunities, access to capital, and increased resources. This type of collaboration has proven to be successful in the past and can provide the necessary impetus for the public and private sectors across the globe to build new economic bridges that benefit not just the BRICS countries, but the Global South in general. With continued support, this platform could provide the necessary framework for developing a more balanced, equitable, and inclusive global order.
