The Open Network blockchain associated with Telegram has experienced a significant increase in transactions, reaching 15.49 million transfers in a single day, more than double its previous levels. The surge in transactions is attributed to the release of the native token of the Hamster Kombat game, HMSTR, and its airdrop. The airdrop began on September 27, with 131 million qualified users receiving tokens. However, not all players were eligible to claim tokens, with some users being banned as cheaters and others failing to choose their withdrawal method. Despite the disappointment among some players, HMSTR has been listed on major exchanges for trading.
