The BIO Association, a Swiss nonprofit, plans to launch BIO tokens ahead of its decentralized biotech network, BIO Protocol. The association aims to bridge the gap between biotechnology and crypto through its platform, which will serve as a launchpad for on-chain science communities. The goal is to democratize access to scientific research and funding by creating community-led organizations called BioDAOs. The platform has already raised over $5 million and will offer a fair and transparent token launch. BIO token holders will be able to vote on new BioDAOs joining the network and gain access to science-focused funding from top universities and researchers.
