The top officials at Coin Center, a crypto think tank, are leaving the organization as it celebrates its first decade. Executive Director Jerry Brito and Senior Policy Counsel Robin Weisman will step down by the end of the year but will retain board seats. Peter Van Valkenburgh will become the new executive director, and Landon Zinda will take on the role of policy director. Coin Center is currently fighting against the Internal Revenue Service's crypto tax reporting rules, which it argues amount to "overbearing surveillance." The organization filed a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the rules and recently received a second chance in court after the case was initially dismissed.
