XRP, the sixth-largest cryptocurrency, has achieved its highest weekly close of the year by ending Sunday above $0.64 on the Binance exchange. It is currently trading at $0.6518 and has climbed to sixth place in market capitalization, surpassing Circle's USDC token. This is seen as a significant win for XRP bulls who have struggled to surpass the $0.60 resistance level. While XRP seems poised to outperform the market, the possibility of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) appealing the Ripple case could negatively affect the cryptocurrency's price. The deadline for the SEC's appeal is set for October 6. Despite the potential appeal, legal analyst Fred Rispoli suggests that the ruling would not be overturned until at least 2026.
