A crypto trader suffered significant losses after betting on the meme coin, WIF, on the Solana blockchain. They sold the coins for 4.08 million USDC, losing $654,000 in less than 24 hours. Despite this loss, the trader remained bullish on meme coins and immediately reinvested the remaining funds into other similar coins. The meme coin sector is valued at around $121 billion, with Dogecoin and Shiba Inu leading the industry. WIF is the fifth-largest meme coin and has gained popularity due to the rise of the Solana-based meme coin generator pump.fun. It is currently trading at $3.07 and has seen fluctuations over the past day, week, and month.
