Members of the XRP community have launched a petition calling for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to end its appeal in the Ripple case. The petition expresses frustration over the ongoing lawsuit and argues that the appeal is harmful and unnecessary, creating uncertainty in the digital currency market. It also claims that the SEC's actions contradict its original goal of protecting investors and harm US investors. The petition has garnered significant support and is close to reaching its target of 10,000 signatures. In related news, Veritaseum token holders have filed a bar complaint against the SEC's Enforcement Chief, accusing him of misconduct and overreach in various cases, including the Ripple case. If the allegations are proven true, the Chief could face debarment and the cases he has handled may be reviewed. The SEC has yet to file its appeal brief in the Ripple case, and speculation suggests it could do so by December. Ripple may also file a cross-appeal.
