Institutional Ethereum investment through ETFs had a disappointing milestone recently, as no new US dollars were invested in spot Ethereum ETFs for an entire day on Wall Street. This metric, known as 'daily total net flow,' measures the total amount of money invested in spot Ethereum ETFs compared to the total amount withdrawn. Market predictions for spot Ethereum ETFs were bullish, with some predicting all-time highs of $15,000 per ETH. However, the reality has been different, with ETH currently trading at around $2,400. Since its debut, spot Ethereum ETFs have experienced net outflows, shedding $548 million since July 23. One contributing factor to poor performance may be the lack of yield in spot Ethereum ETFs compared to Ethereum's proof-of-stake model, which offers native yield.
