A Ukrainian man, Viacheslav Leibov, was robbed of 250,000 USDT (a stablecoin) in a hotel room in Thailand. He was invited into the room by his friend, Alfred Chernyshuk, where he encountered an Armenian man identified as Arman Grigoryan. When Leibov went to use the bathroom, he found two masked men waiting for him who tied him up and demanded that he transfer 500,000 USDT to a specific wallet or they would harm him. Leibov negotiated and transferred 250,000 USDT before being tied to a bed. After freeing himself and reporting the incident, he was unable to locate the assailants. This incident follows a similar robbery in Thailand involving a crypto entrepreneur and a kidnapping of a crypto entrepreneur in Canada.
