Lead developer of Shiba Inu, Shytoshi Kusama, has recommended the adoption of S.H.I.B. to the incoming Donald Trump administration. This proposal was made in response to a conversation about the structure of the Trump administration's approach to addressing the nation's challenges effectively. Elon Musk, a key figure in the incoming administration, expressed interest in hearing recommendations for potential roles for President Trump to consider. Kusama seized this opportunity and suggested the creation of the Strategic Hub for Innovation in Blockchain (S.H.I.B.) as a key initiative. The S.H.I.B. proposal aims to establish a cutting-edge blockchain innovation hub in the U.S., fostering economic growth, job creation, and innovation across industries. It also aims to strengthen national security, promote sustainability, and develop a skilled workforce for the future. The projected outcomes include job creation, attracting blockchain startups, and significant contributions to the local economy. The estimated cost of the project is $1.3 billion to $2.35 billion over 5-10 years, with a projected return of $10 for every $1 invested. Kusama believes that with the support of the incoming administration, this ambitious project could position the U.S. as a global leader in blockchain innovation.
