The overall market capitalization of cryptocurrencies has surpassed $2.750 trillion, the highest value reached so far in 2024. The market capitalization is the sum of the market capitalizations of all monitored cryptocurrencies, calculated by multiplying the price of a single token by the total number of tokens in circulation for each cryptocurrency. While Bitcoin reached its all-time high in both price and market capitalization, Ethereum is still below its peak in 2021. Altcoins also have not reached their previous highs, resulting in the overall market capitalization of the crypto market still being below historical levels. Stablecoins, despite not reaching all-time highs, have also seen some increase in market capitalization.
