The race for the next U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman is heating up, with reports stating that the Trump team is considering Dan Gallagher, the chief legal and compliance officer at Robinhood and former SEC commissioner. Gallagher, who is popular among cryptocurrency executives, is the front-runner for the position. Other contenders include Paul Atkins, a former Republican SEC commissioner, and Robert Stebbins, a partner at a law firm. Trump's transition team is creating shortlists for each financial agency, with the final decision expected in a few weeks.
