Flare, a blockchain platform focused on data-heavy use-cases, has launched FXRP, a tokenized version of XRP, on its canary network called Songbird. This deployment allows for programmable opportunities for assets that cannot be integrated with smart contracts natively. The Open Beta phase of Flare has also been completed. During the beta testing, the FAssets system handled a significant amount of mints and redemptions, providing valuable insights into user behavior and system performance. With FXRP live on Songbird, testing will now shift to real-world scenarios using Songbird's native token and Flare's stablecoin. The rollout on Songbird introduces enhanced features to ensure real-world usability and security. The testing period on Songbird will provide participants with the opportunity to earn rewards, and a minimum testing period of six weeks per asset has been set to evaluate the system thoroughly. Flare's FAssets system aims to bridge cryptocurrencies like XRP, BTC, and DOGE with DeFi, unlocking new opportunities for trading, lending, and staking while maintaining high levels of security.
