The XRP Ledger (XRPL) saw a number of impressive improvements in the first quarter of 2023, with transaction levels increasing 9.3% in comparison to the fourth quarter of 2022. 116.3 million transactions were processed via the network in the first three months of the year, while additional features such as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) contributed to its overall growth. 140,993 XRP tokens were burned with transaction fees during Q1 2023, representing a 38% surge on the previous quarter. While the number of new wallets declined, the XRPL currently possesses over 4.6 million wallets and is headed towards the 5 million milestone. Positive developments such as these suggest the XRPL is increasingly becoming a valuable asset in the crypto space.
