Jon Heder and his colleague, co-creator of ‘Workaholics’ TV show, have developed a NFT-enhanced animated series called ‘Space Junk’ this week. NFTs have enabled Web3 creators to take control of their own projects by providing them a direct connection to their customers. This new way of producing and consuming entertainment projects has erased the need of mediators or other common obstructions to success. For the development of this project, the traditional Hollywood way has been replaced by the faster and more efficient process created by the new Web3 platform.

Jon Heder, formerly known for his outstanding performance in ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ movie, is also the co-founder of Verified Labs and the creator of the Order of the Tigons NFT art project. The immense creative potential of new NFT-powered entertainment projects has already felt great to Heder who perceived it as a chance of getting back to the creative side of art.

Like ‘The Gimmicks’ series, ‘Space Junk’ offers its NFT holders a special way of participation and influence on future episodes. It is an animated series about blue collar workers cleaning up space debris which also incorporates an NFT twist. Moreover, ‘Space Junk’ is backed up with many successful Hollywood stars such as Adam DeVine, Tina Majorino, Efren Ramirez, Haylie Duff, and Jon Gries whom you recognize from ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ movie.

Overall, Web3 animation studio Toonstar, Jon Heder's Verified Labs, and the NFT-enhanced animated series ‘Space Junk’ have broken through many barriers to demonstrate the powerful potential of combining NFTs, Web3 and entertainment projects. As a result, Web3 gives entertainment creators innovative new ways of producing and engaging in Web3 communities as well as directly connecting with fans, which has previously been quite difficult. In the end, Heder’s admiration for this new achievement is well deserved, as he claimed, “once you create these worlds, everybody in the entertainment industry knows you’ve got something good, then the sky's the limit in terms of what you can imagine and what you can create.”
