Yuga Labs, the inventor of the renowned Bored Ape Yacht Club, has emerged as a remarkable leader in the NFT industry. The firm, which released its CryptoPunks and Meebits NFT projects in 2022, accounted for around 35% of all NFT trade volume for the period between October 2022 and March 2023 as per DappRadar.

Yuga Labs CEO Fernando Alegre recently shared his plans to further expand the brand and optimize user access to its games. The firm is even contemplating entering the console game market with an official console release to rival the games from established publishers. Playing a significant role in the success of Yuga Labs is the Dookey Dash game, which saw impressive revenues generated per user, although exact data have not been revealed.

Furthermore, Yuga Labs is known for fostering a world-renowned brand, one that draws celebrities and keeps them engaged. Alegre believes that established publishers would have to restructure their economic model to leverage the engagement of market influencers. This draws attention to the corporate's latest accomplishment, which is a landmark legal victory against Ryder Ripps and Jeremy Cahen. These two had created the RR/BAYC, a mimic of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, with an alleged aim of capitalizing on Yuga's success.

The firm intends to focus on optimizing their events and goods offering in order to expand user access to its games. This process has already started, with Alegre reorganizing the company's NFT collections into mini-franchises. Ultimately, this is all for the purpose of reviving NFTs through games and events, turning Yuga Labs into a regular business model.
