Wine NFTs have been gaining rapid momentum since the launch of Bored Grapes in 2022, offering a revolutionary platform for disconnected wine enthusiasts to buy, collect and consume virtual wine created with the highest standards. Led by Oregon-based winemaker Nicholas Keeler and tech expert Robert Haleluk, Bored Grapes has revolutionized the NFT landscape by unveiling a unique concept that pairs physical bottles of wine with virtual vineyards.

The first NFT collection of 5,555 virtual empty bottles was snapped up in just 30 minutes. Since then, the platform has gone from strength to strength and has developed several partnerships with renowned wineries around the world, such as Avennia Winery in France, Italy and California.

At the heart of the concept is the ability to mint grapes, harvest them and integrate them with an NFT bottle, which can then be redeemed as a physical bottle of wine. The virtual grapevines are priced at just 0.10 Ether (ETH) or around $190 based on current Ether prices, and US dollars can also be used via Credit card.

By introducing a new digital layer to the wine-buying experience, Bored Grapes enables users to invest in a virtual vineyard and enjoy the sensory pleasures of winemaking without needing to be located near an actual vineyard. As Keeler explained: “We’re trying to make this a fun, new experience for buying wine”, while Haleluk added: “this new technology is exciting, it enables creative teams to build unique experiences around products, brands and opportunities.”

Whether you’re an experienced wine collector looking for something to excite and engage, or a web3 enthusiast that likes enjoying a glass of wine, Bored Grapes provides a unique platform for you to discover ‘Grow to Drink’.
