Crypto exchange TrueX has emerged out of stealth, positioning itself as a non-custodial and stablecoin-native platform. Co-founder Vishal Gupta said that TrueX aims to be a safer and more trustworthy alternative to traditional exchanges, with a focus on asset custody and settlement using stablecoins. The exchange's custody model involves assets being held by qualified custodial partner Paxos. The launch comes amid projections of significant growth in the institutional digital asset custody market, as well as increasing demand for the segregation of trade execution and asset custody. TrueX sees an opportunity to capitalise on stablecoins to offer faster and more efficient trading, with PayPal USD as its default settlement currency.
