The Telegram game Catizen has revealed that its CATI token can be used to access future airdrops through a season pass. Initially, the game planned to allocate 34% of its token supply to airdrops, but players were disappointed when they learned that only 15% would be given out in the initial airdrop. The remaining 19% will be distributed through the Airdrop Pass over the next 19 seasons, spanning 4 years and 8 months. Catizen intends to create an economic model to sustain airdrops in the long term and plans to offer rewards from partner projects. The cost of the Airdrop Pass is currently unknown. Catizen received backlash from its community for changes to the airdrop criteria and lack of transparency. The game has committed to implementing a more transparent distribution model for future airdrop seasons.
