Nishad Singh, the former Director of Engineering at FTX, was sentenced to time served and three years of supervised release for his crimes committed at the company. This came after the judge took into account minimum sentencing guidelines and other relevant documents. Singh had pleaded guilty to six crimes and emphasized his cooperation with US authorities in his sentencing submission. However, representatives for the former COO of FTX Japan disputed Singh's claim that he had taken steps to preserve funds at FTX Japan. The sentencing was handed down by Judge Lewis Kaplan in a federal courtroom in New York.
