Ten years ago, XRP was the second-largest cryptocurrency behind Bitcoin, solidifying its position in the crypto space. A recent tweet by Satoshi Club showed the top 10 cryptocurrencies from 10 years ago. Bitcoin was first with a market cap of $4.7 billion, while XRP ranked second with a market cap of around $131 million. Other cryptocurrencies like Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Namecoin filled the remaining spots. XRP intermittently held the second position until 2018 when it reached an all-time high. Currently, XRP is the seventh largest cryptocurrency with a market cap of approximately $29.85 billion, despite the legal battle with the SEC. Bitcoin and Ethereum remain the top two cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
