The Glif project, part of the Filecoin ecosystem, has announced an airdrop of 100 million GLIF tokens. The tokenomics of the asset reveal that the community will receive a 35% share, with 10% allocated for the airdrop, 15.65% for investors, 29.35% for core participants, and 20% for ecosystem development. A total emission volume of 1 billion GLIF tokens is planned. The tokens for the airdrop will be distributed among GLIF Points holders in a 1:1 ratio. A campaign to earn GLIF Points began in March 2024, and 82 million points have already been given to community members. The remaining 18 million will be distributed through a token generation event (TGE) and subsequent airdrop, likely to happen in late 2024 or early 2025. Participants will have one year to claim their rewards, with the remaining tokens being returned to the treasury. Airdrop participants will receive 25% of the tokens immediately and the remaining 75% over 180 days. The team and early participants will have a three-year vesting period, while investors will have a two-year vesting period. The tokenomics indicate the creation of a GLIF Foundation to coordinate decisions made by GLIF token holders.
