The founder of MyTrade, a crypto "market maker," has pleaded guilty to charges that include market manipulation. The U.S. Department of Justice secured a guilty plea from Liu Zhou, who will be sentenced early next year for wash trading client cryptocurrencies across multiple exchanges. Several other firms, including Gotbit, CLS Global, and ZM Quant, allegedly engaged in wash trading as well. CLS Global has stated that it is trying to initiate a dialogue with U.S. authorities and is open to improving its processes.
