The NEAR Infrastructure Committee (IC) has been working to improve the NEAR environment by providing technical resources, funding, and attention to important problems and encouraging innovation. In its first year, the IC became the most often-used open grant source in the ecosystem, approving 24 out of 99 suggestions and supporting projects such as wallet infrastructure improvements, decentralized RPC services, and analytics tools. Moving forward, the IC aims to prioritize proactive ecosystem creation and ongoing enhancement, focusing on improving wallet infrastructure, supporting chain abstraction tools, and enabling decentralized artificial intelligence. The committee will create working groups to handle accounts, assess ideas, and create RFPs. The NEAR token is currently trading at around $5.17.
