Crypto.com has announced a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), the largest Islamic bank in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The partnership will allow Crypto.com to expand its products and services to a larger user base in the UAE, tapping into DIB's expertise in Islamic finance. The collaboration aims to bring cryptocurrency opportunities to the region through Sharia-compliant platforms, including the introduction of tokenized Islamic Sukuks. The deal will also see DIB advertising the Crypto.com app and card. Crypto.com plans to leverage DIB's system to offer cryptocurrency payments and focus on tokenizing real-world assets. This partnership marks a milestone for DIB as it embraces blockchain and crypto technology for Islamic finance advancement. Crypto.com has been actively expanding in the Middle East, with recent acquisitions, the launch of an AED Wallet, and a prepaid crypto debit card partnership with Mastercard.
