The Feed Every Gorilla (FEG) token experienced an exploit called the "SmartBridge" hack, causing holders to lose 99% of their funds. This is the third attack on the project in 2022. The project suspects a vulnerability in the wormhole bridge, which was previously audited but has yet to receive an official comment from Peckshield. BlockSec conducted its own analysis and found that the relayer did not check if the source address was allowed to trigger withdrawal registration, allowing the hacker to withdraw and swap large amounts of FEG tokens. The hacker made over $1 million from the attack. Users expressed frustration and disbelief, with some suggesting inside jobs. The project previously lost $1.3 million to a flash loan attack and $2 million due to liquidity lock exploits.
