Recently, Whale Alert, a public blockchain tracking platform, detected anonymous transactions involving hundreds of millions of Dogecoin (DOGE). Some speculate that this indicates a large cryptocurrency dump. The transactions coincided with a significant drop in the price of Dogecoin. A total of more than 816 million Dogecoins were transferred in a span of slightly over an hour. The larger transfer consisted of fifteen smaller transfers from three different wallets, while the smaller transfer came from seven blockchain addresses to two different wallets. Meanwhile, the price of Dogecoin dropped by 3.44% in the past few hours but experienced a small recovery. Elon Musk, the world's richest man, joked about accepting Dogecoin as payment for tuition at a potential institution called The Texas Institute of Technology and Science. Some believe it is a good idea to create such an institution, including Katherine Boyle, a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, and Elon Musk himself.
