Blockchain technology company Lightspark announced new products and features at its first partner summit, Lightspark Sync. The company unveiled an alpha version of Spark, a Bitcoin Layer 2 that is interoperable with Lightning and enables cheaper onboarding to a non-custodial Bitcoin layer. Lightspark also introduced new capabilities for its open-source payment solution, UMA, including UMA Extend, which integrates the Lightning Network with traditional banking systems for global bank transfers in seconds. The company also launched UMA Auth, an extension that allows users to integrate payments directly into applications, and UMA Request, which enables users to request payments from others. Lightspark emphasized its commitment to community collaboration and open-source development.
