John Deaton, a Republican candidate and pro-crypto lawyer, has offered to appear as an amicus counsel for Ripple (XRP) holders in the ongoing legal battle between the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Ripple. Deaton criticized the SEC and its chairman, Gary Gensler, stating that XRP is legal and that even Chris Larsen, who was sued by the SEC, donated millions of XRP to the Vice President through Coinbase, which is also being sued by the SEC. Deaton highlighted the discrepancies in the SEC's allegations against Coinbase and mentioned that he submitted thousands of XRP Holder Affidavits to the court. He expressed his intention to continue representing token holders either as a senator or a private citizen. Intervenors in the case, including Kristiana Warner, James Lamonte, and Jordan Deaton, will also be represented by John Deaton.
