The Ronin Network, a Web3 gaming ecosystem, has integrated Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as its cross-chain infrastructure. This upgrade enhances security, accessibility, and future growth for Ronin. The Ronin community voted in favor of CCIP to power the Ronin Bridge, and all assets bridged via the legacy Ronin Bridge will migrate to CCIP by January 2025. CCIP allows for bridging assets between Ronin, Ethereum, and Base ecosystems, providing expanded functionalities for developers and users. It also offers enhanced security and programmable token transfers, improving the reliability and versatility of Ronin's network. The integration of CCIP opens up connectivity to Ethereum and Base ecosystems, unlocking new DeFi opportunities and connections to millions of Coinbase users. CCIP will fully replace the Ronin Bridge by January 2025, positioning Ronin as a future-ready network for gaming, DeFi, and other decentralized applications. The launch of CCIP invites developers to join Ronin's ecosystem and drive growth and innovation. The Ronin team is committed to expanding bridge lanes to additional chains, further enhancing interoperability and accessibility.
