The upgrade implements Block-STM technology, allowing parallel transactions within a single block and enabling the network to handle up to 60,000 transactions per second. The upgrade also introduces improved processing optimization and cross-chain connectivity. The upgrade positions Cronos for next-gen blockchain applications and prepares it for decentralized finance, Web3 gaming, and AI-powered experiences. The goal is to support the rapid evolution of AI agents and other emerging use cases.
