The founder of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, has responded humorously to a proposal for a decentralized music and DJ battle game called Herd. The game aims to integrate blockchain technology, NFTs, and community governance. Players can mix sound packs in real time and compete in DJ battles that are streamed live. Artists can monetize their work by creating sound packs, receiving royalties from in-game transactions and secondary market sales. Hoskinson expressed amusement at the project's ambition. Herd plans to establish a DAO in Japan to manage intellectual property and oversee development and governance. The project relies on strategic partnerships and technologies such as Midnight for NFT management and privacy features. Partnerships with community projects like HOSKY Token and NMKR are important for early adoption and visibility. The launch of Herd depends on the successful release of Midnight, although an alternative plan for the Cardano mainnet is also being considered.
