Speculation surrounding the location of Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto's private keys has resurfaced a theory involving gambling magnate Calvin Ayre, ex-crime boss Paul LeRoux, and early Bitcoin participant Craig Wright. The theory suggests that Ayre has known all along that Wright is not Satoshi and has been using him as a media scapegoat while directing computational power towards decrypting the private keys. The theory also posits that LeRoux, known for his criminal activities, was or knew the creator of Bitcoin and helped secure the private keys. Wright, who lied about being Satoshi, allegedly obtained the encrypted volume containing the keys after LeRoux's downfall and enlisted Ayre's help to crack the code. The partnership involved Ayre mining bitcoin while Wright claimed to be Satoshi, preparing for the moment when Ayre might finally decrypt the keys and Wright could sell the coins legally. The theory suggests that many of Wright's actions, including lawsuits and publicity stunts, are a cover for Ayre's treasure-hunting operation.
