Shiba Inu's lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, recently promised the community additional updates regarding the developments taking place behind the scenes. This followed an accusation of FUD spreading being leveled by some members of the SHIB community. Kusama explained he was unaware of this alleged activity and reassured the Shibarium Telegram group of his dedication to making the project work for everyone.

SHIB is currently down almost 90% from its peak price, which is in line with the rest of the crypto market at this time. Despite this downturn, Kusama personally said he is still committed to the project. To this end, the SHIB development team has recently released its testnet, Puppynet, and has also crossed the 200 000 wallets mark of adoption for the project.

As for future plans, Unification, one of the developers of Shibarium, is creating an integrated wallet solution for the platform, in order to speed up transactions and accelerate SHIB burns, which could lead to positively impacting the market price of the asset. In addition, a burn portal will be available on the mainnet, which will further set aside SHIB tokens through every transaction.

Shiba Inu has generated substantial excitement around its innovative DeFi protocol and Kusama is openly leading the development efforts to bring the project to life. Again, underlying the point made by Kusama, the team is intent on making sure the project works for everyone and could ultimately be the driving force to boost SHIB's price in the longterm.
