Recent issues by Zksync Era, an Ethereum L2 scaling solution, have caused concern among the cryptocurrency community. The block explorer showed that the mainnet has not produced any blocks in the last three hours. This event closely followed the Alpha mainnet launch on March 24, many investors looking less than impressed at the state of the platform.

This isn't the first time these issues have been a problem. Similar disruptions have also been experienced with Avalanche, another leading Ethereum scaling solution. Despite this, zkSync Era remains one of the more popular L2 solutions, according to analytics last updated March 24.

The zkSync Era team is active in their efforts to address the issue. They have committed $3.8M to securing the platform, including seven independent security audits from T1 auditors, three internal audits, two public security contests, an open-ended bug bounty program, as well as open-sourced code. Furthermore, an official response has been given that the team is aware of the issue and progress is being made in trying to recover the mainnet.

Ultimately, the responsiveness and commitment of the team is the most comforting thing for the many users, businesses, and investors that rely upon the platform's proficiency and reliability. Although this situation is cause for disruption, a viable solution could be within reach in the near future, particularly with such a strong drive from the team behind the project.
