The Stellar Development Foundation and Mastercard have partnered to enable remittances and peer-to-peer transfers on the Stellar network. The collaboration will integrate Mastercard's Crypto Credential system into Stellar, allowing users to initiate crypto-powered transactions using only the recipient's email address. This will simplify the user experience and ensure compliance with payment regulations. The partnership aims to unlock secure utilities for digital asset wallet providers and promote trustworthy interactions between customers and businesses. Additionally, the collaboration will explore how Stellar's ecosystem can benefit from Mastercard's services for Web3 development. Mastercard has been at the forefront of integrating cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology into mainstream finance, recently launching a debit card for non-custodial wallets that supports multiple digital assets.
