The CEO of Uniswap Labs, Hayden Adams, has highlighted the key features of the newly launched Uniswap V4. The V4 version is more gas-efficient than its predecessor, offering cheaper transactions for users. Adams demonstrated this by swapping $1,000 worth of ETH to USDT through Uniswap V4, using a multihop route instead of a single-hop swap. The advantage of V4 is that it still yielded the best price even with lower liquidity, thanks to improved gas efficiency. Experts believe this will drive growth for the ecosystem and the Ethereum chain. Lower gas fees and more efficient routes may also lead to wider adoption and value. Uniswap's trading volume has recently increased, which may help the platform rebound in the short term.
