The Solana network has seen significant growth, with stablecoin issuer Circle minting an additional 250 million USDC on Solana, bringing the total USDC minted on the network to $6 billion in 2025. This indicates a large influx of funds into the crypto market. The supply of stablecoins on Solana increased by 112% in January, reaching a record high of $11.1 billion. Circle's USDC remains the dominant stablecoin on Solana, accounting for 77% of the market share. Solana has outperformed Bitcoin and Ethereum in terms of price appreciation and capital inflows since November 2022. The overall stablecoin market capitalization increased by 57% in 2024 and Tether's market capitalization reached a new high. Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies tied to fiat currencies and backed by cash and cash equivalents.
