The United Nations Artificial Intelligence advisory body has released its final report with seven key recommendations to address AI-related risks and governance gaps. The report suggests the creation of a global body to provide objective information on AI, the establishment of an AI standards exchange to develop international guidelines, and the creation of a Global AI Capacity Development Network to improve AI governance in countries lacking infrastructure. The report also recommends the creation of a global AI fund to facilitate collaboration and capacity building, and the implementation of a global AI data system to hold AI operations more accountable for data management and privacy. The UK will also hold a conference on AI safety in November.
