BlackRock, a trillion-dollar asset manager, released a white paper titled "Bitcoin: A Unique Diversifier," examining Bitcoin's advantages as an investment. The paper suggests that Bitcoin's long-term return drivers are different from traditional assets, making it unique. It also notes that Bitcoin has had a low correlation with traditional assets such as bonds and equities, while its historical returns have been higher than other asset classes. Bitcoin's non-sovereign, decentralized, and fixed-supply nature makes it a good alternative during macroeconomic crises. Additionally, Bitcoin is considered an alternative to the US dollar due to concerns over deficits and debts. However, the paper acknowledges risks such as high volatility, regulatory uncertainty, and an immature ecosystem.
