Donald Trump's re-election as US president has led to a new all-time high (ATH) in Bitcoin and increased expectations for its continued rise. Standard Chartered bank believes that Bitcoin surpassing $75,000 is just the beginning, with the cryptocurrency projected to reach $125,000 by the end of this year and $200,000 by the end of 2025. The bank's Head of Global Digital Assets Research, Geoff Kendrick, attributes this expected rally to Trump's promises related to Bitcoin, such as dismissing the SEC Chairman and creating a national strategic Bitcoin reserve. Kendrick also anticipates intense investor interest in Bitcoin options transactions, predicting a price of $80,000 in the near future. Additionally, Kendrick suggests that the second Trump administration may expand the cryptocurrency market and introduce new stablecoin regulations. Another factor contributing to Bitcoin's potential rise is the popularity of spot Bitcoin ETFs, which have seen significant net inflows and are expected to continue growing in the coming years.
