Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has suggested that US President Donald Trump should prioritize regulatory clarity for the cryptocurrency industry in his first 100 days. Garlinghouse's top suggestion is to fire US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chair Gary Gensler and replace him with a more crypto-friendly candidate. He also wants Trump to move the digital asset market structure bill forward in the Senate and provide clarity regarding the status of Ethereum (ETH) as a security. Garlinghouse believes that these actions would help rebuild the rule of law and reputation at the SEC.
