Schwartz has previously criticized the SEC for its lack of clear cryptocurrency regulation. However, recent developments seem to favor the cryptocurrency industry, as SEC Chair Gary Gensler is set to be replaced by Paul Atkins, a pro-crypto nominee, and two anti-crypto commissioners are leaving the agency.
