Tether, the popular stablecoin issuer, has added an Ethereum address to its blacklist. The address in question holds 13.144 million USDT and 2.66 million ROOST tokens, and it received 150 ETH from another entity. Blockchain sleuth ZachXBT suggests that the blacklisting may be related to an indictment against two individuals accused of orchestrating a $22 million fraud involving NFT and digital asset projects, including Roost Coin. The address's connection to ROOST tokens and liquidity removal on Base further raises suspicions. This move by Tether may be part of broader efforts to disrupt the financial networks involved in the fraud case.
