Renowned crypto investor James Fickel is taking steps to reduce his long-standing ETH/BTC position as the pair reaches its lowest levels since April 2021. Fickel has engaged in high-value swaps and transactions to mitigate losses from the declining ETH/BTC rate. In the past 24 hours, he swapped a total of 6,500 ETH for WBTC, following earlier swaps of 2,000 ETH and 4,418 ETH. Fickel has liquidated over 23,000 ETH, worth approximately $74.3 million, to balance his portfolio. Despite his efforts, he still owes significant debt on Aave. Fickel's aggressive repositioning reflects broader challenges faced by investors as the ETH/BTC rate continues to decline.
