Billionaire investor Mark Cuban has criticized the decentralized prediction market Polymarket for its prediction of the 2024 U.S. presidential election winner. He argued that most of the money coming into Polymarket is foreign, so it is not a reliable indicator. Polymarket currently gives Donald Trump a 64.1% chance of winning, while Vice President Kamala Harris is at 36.1%. Cuban mentioned that Polymarket does not allow U.S. citizens to place bets on the election. Despite his criticism, he revealed that he is an indirect investor in the platform. Polymarket's odds are determined by users buying and selling shares, which has led to speculation about potential manipulation.
