Chainlink has announced the launch of CCIP Private Transactions, a new feature that aims to enable financial institutions to conduct cross-chain transactions while maintaining data privacy, integrity, and regulatory compliance. This addresses the pressing privacy concerns that have limited institutions' participation in blockchain ecosystems. The Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) will be an early adopter of the technology, piloting it as part of the Monetary Authority of Singapore's Project Guardian, which focuses on cross-chain settlement of tokenized real-world assets. CCIP Private Transactions provides encryption and decryption protocols to keep transaction details private, including data, token amounts, and counterparties involved.
