Institutional demand for U.S. Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) has significantly increased, with American institutions acquiring $13 billion worth of spot Bitcoin ETF shares since January. According to Form 13F filings, 1,179 institutions have accumulated 193,064 BTC in the last 10 months. This uptake by institutions suggests that initial skepticism towards Bitcoin-related funds was brief, and experts believe asset managers slowly adjust to new products. The growing institutional adoption of BTC ETFs is seen as a major catalyst for Bitcoin's expected price rally. While short-term volatility may affect BTC and digital asset markets leading up to the U.S. presidential election, researchers anticipate that historical patterns will repeat, and general sentiment suggests Bitcoin will trade above $100,000 by early 2025.
