An Indian national named Mohammed Shahbaz has been arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Cell in Gurugram for using cryptocurrency to purchase and distribute the psychedelic drug LSD. Shahbaz allegedly obtained the drugs in the form of children's tattoo stickers from an international source using digital assets. He confessed to obtaining the drugs from a website called Bioness, accessed through the Tor browser. Indian authorities seized 2.7 grams of LSD from Shahbaz and are investigating his international connections and accomplices. This case highlights the need for regulators to actively address crypto regulations to combat criminal activities on the dark web.
