Crypto mining firm BitFuFu has acquired a data center in Oklahoma for $20 million. The 51 MW mining center, which has been in operation since 2022, will be used for Bitcoin mining. The facility includes an operations center that can double as a hardware repair center. BitFuFu plans to expand its self-mining operations, enhance hosting services, and strengthen its cloud mining platform. The company aims to achieve a 1 GW capacity in the next two years and currently offers 556 MW of Bitcoin mining hosting capacity across various locations in the United States, Ethiopia, and Paraguay. The acquisition comes at a time when the crypto industry is anticipating positive effects from the policies of the new US administration, particularly in relation to Bitcoin.
